Project Management Project management is the single most valuable service Artizen can offer a client. We provide full-time, on site project management to lead the project or a targeted consulting engagement to assist with a particular aspect of project management. We tailor our service to meet your needs. Our consultants have many years of experience running large scale projects. In order to remain on schedule, projects require meticulous planning, rigorous tracking and a proactive bias for action by the leadership team. Our consultants live by these principles. The combination of Artizen's experienced project managers and our proven methodology and tools, ensures on time and on budget delivery of our projects. Artizen has developed a set of comprehensive tools, templates and best practices that we bring to each engagement including: Estimating Models - We employ a proprietary project estimating approach and a sophisticated , spreadsheet based estimating model that enforces a bottom up compilation of work to be performed. The estimating tools allow for "what if" analysis of alternative staffing strategies and scheduling options. Once a strategy is chosen, the tool provides detailed staffing plans and costs by resource type, by task, and by month as well as a high level time line. Management Checklists - Our practice managers complete a set of project management checklists covering all phases of the project. A QA review can be performed by one of our experienced consultants in just one week! A report is delivered to management on possible weaknesses in plans, staffing, sponsorship, and many other dimensions that are all critical for success. Methodology and Templates - We have made a science of understanding what works and what does not work on software and business process re-engineering projects. Our methodology embodies the best practices accumulated since our inception in 1991. The approach to completing tasks and the templates that make up our methodology ensure that important tasks are not skipped, time is not wasted on unnecessary activities, and that all deliverables are of the highest quality at each phase of the project. |
